Maughold Head – Isle of Man

This image of a beautiful and serene moonrise with a crystal clear rock pool was taken at Maughold Head in the north east of the Isle of Man. Amazingly I’ve never watched a moonrise let alone photographed one, so this was a very special and challenging experience. Darkness, cold, strong winds, extreme focus stacking and the need for multiple exposures really pushed my limits. I’m massively pleased with the final image and feel it delivers something surreal and unique.
