Point of Ayre – Isle of Man

The image features Winkie Lighthouse at the most northerly tip of the Isle of Man in the foreground with a 1 hour star trail exposure in the sky above. I positioned north star directly above the lighthouse so that the stars would create their trails in a symmetrical fashion round the building. This was attempt number 5 to get this shot having made multiple unsuccessfull trips to this spot over the last few months. Well worth the effort! Patience really is the key with landscape photography!
